Topic: Inspired Writing

In this early years session the focus is to inspire children to write. Previously children had found clues in the playground including droppings, bones and footprints and had to decide what creature left them. The class agreed it must be a dinosaur, making this the topic of the lesson. A range of activities including messy play encourage the children, boys in particular, to extend vocabulary and have a go at writing.

Our school bought this lesson as part of a bundle (not sure which one). This observation stood out and as a whole we were very impressed. Absolutely outstanding!
I don't often write reviews but I was quite impressed with this lesson! Our school have bought many videos from this site and if you have to buy 1 lesson, I would recommend this one.
